Certifications



Falcondo se ha certificado con los estándares de la industria y exhibe las siguientes certificaciones:









  • ISO 9001: Certificación de calidad obtenida en 1994 y recertificada periódicamente. En su versión 2015 fue obtenida en abril de 2016. Ver certificado






  • ISO 14001: Certificación ambiental obtenida en 1999 y recertificada periódicamente. En su versión 2015 fue obtenida en diciembre de 2017. Somos el primer productor de ferroníquel en el mundo en obtener dicha certificación, previo a la existencia de la ley ambiental en el país.






  • Protección de Buque e Instalación Portuaria (PBIP): Certificación obtenida en marzo de 2017, para la establecimiento de controles en las instalaciones portuarias de la empresa.






  • Reglamento 522-06: Es la certificación de cumplimiento en seguridad y salud en el trabajo, otorgada por el Ministerio de Trabajo. En abril de 2018 se obtuvo la certificación correspondiente al período 2018-2021.






  • Operador Económico Autorizado (OEA): obtenida en mayo de 2018, es una acreditación global de cumplimiento con la seguridad y buenas prácticas en la cadena de suministro internacional de mercancías. Somos la primera minera en certificarse.






  • Autoevaluación en Responsabilidad Social, alineada con ISO 26000 / Estándar de Reportería Global en Sostenibilidad (GRI): Evaluados bajo la herramienta INDICARSE, administrada por la Red Nacional de Apoyo Empresarial a la Protección Ambiental (ECORED).



    • Falcondo has been certified to industry standards having earned the following certifications:





  • 2019 Export Excellence Award : On June 25, Falcondo receive the greatest award in the category "Great Dominican Exporter" granted by the Dominican Association of Exporters (ADOEXPO).






  • ISO 9001: Quality certification obtained in 1994 and recertified periodically. Falcondo obtained the latest, 2015 version of the standard in April 2016. We are the first ferronickel producer in the world to obtain such a certification, prior to the existence of the environmental law in the country.






  • ISO 14001: Environmental certification obtained in 1999 and recertified periodically. In its 2015 version, it was obtained in December 2017. We are the first ferronickel producer in the world to obtain such certification, prior to the existence of the environmental law in the country.






  • Protection of Ship and Port Facility (PBIP): Certification obtained in March 2017, for the establishment of controls in the company's port facilities.






  • Regulation 522-06: A certification of compliance in health and safety at work, granted by the Ministry of Labor. The certification for the period 2018-2021 was obtained in April 2018.






  • Authorized Economic Operator (AEO): obtained in May 2018, is a global accreditation of compliance with security and good practices in the international merchandise supply chain. We are the first mining company to be certified.






  • Self-assessment in Social Responsibility, aligned with ISO 26000/Global Sustainability Reporting Standard (GRI): Evaluated under the INDICATE tool, administered by the National Business Support Network for Environmental Protection (ECORED).
